In March 2022, Womvest launched its sister investment vehicle, Womvest Ventures. Its mandate is to provide short-term working capital finance to women-led small-and-medium-sized enterprises (“SMEs”), majority women-employed SMEs or where there is a clear opportunity to benefit women either through enhanced diversity and inclusion or as direct consumers of products and services.
Through Womvest Ventures, Womvest has successfully provided critical investment capital to entreneperus, skills development opportunities and competitive commercial returns to Womvest's investors. Womvest Ventures' first facility was financed by women in the Womvest network – a clear demonstration of women investing in women.
